Itinerario
  1. Giorno 1 - Roma - Montalcino

    Transfers to/from the departure station not included: rates available on request

    The journey departs from Rome Ostiense, passing through Italian landscapes and flavours. At lunchtime, there is an opportunity to savour dishes created by Michelin 3-star chef Heinz Beck, which celebrate seasonal produce and local ingredients.
    In the afternoon, the train reaches Montalcino, renowned for its picturesque streets and famous wines. Visit the town, exploring its narrow streets and historic sites. Then, it’s time for a tasting at a local winery with renowned Brunello and Tuscan cuisine. As evening falls and the train departs, you bid farewell to Montalcino and prepare for Le Grand Soir, a memorable culinary experience with exquisite flavours and an elegant atmosphere. Live music and entertainment add magic to the night-time journey.

  2. Day 2 Montalcino - Roma -

    The morning of the second day of your journey on the Orient Express La Dolce Vita begins with a classic Italian breakfast. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the taste of artisan pastries accompany you as the train follows the tracks through Umbria and Lazio to Rome Ostiense station.

Cabins

On board the Orient Express La Dolce Vita, guests can choose between two types of cabins: the 12 Deluxe Cabins (7 m²) or the Suite (11 m²), both with queen-size beds, private bathrooms and designer details. In addition to traditional room service, all carriages offer the highest standard of luxury and a range of dedicated services.
The 12 Deluxe Cabins, authentic oases of tranquillity, offer a refined environment with carpeted floors and wooden ceilings, creating the ideal setting for a journey of pure wonder. The private bathroom adds an extra touch of comfort. As evening falls, the “Great Transformation” takes place: the modular space is transformed in a surprising way to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The sofa converts into a double bed (140 cm x 190 cm), while the poufs become elegant coffee tables and stools.
The 18 Suites offer a cosy bedroom with a sofa, table, two armchairs and private bathroom. Vibrant shades of orange, terracotta and purple are combined with brass finishes. Smoked mirrors, lacquered ceilings in ‘burnt sienna’, sumptuous carpets and curtains, together with lamps designed by famous 20th-century designers, give the room a timeless elegance and charm.
