Rovos Rail: Pretoria – Victoria Falls (5 Days / 4 night).

Pride of Africa by Rovos Rail is one of the world’s most famous luxury trains.

Since its foundation in 1989, it has stood out for its elegance, exclusivity and variety of services dedicated to travellers eager to discover the most fascinating places in southern Africa.

Amidst landscapes that are as diverse as they are exciting, you will travel by rail through reserves, majestic waterfalls, silent deserts and enchanting natural surroundings.

Itinerario
  1. Day 1 - Pretoria (Sudafrica) - Pride of Africa

    Flights to and from Italy not included: rates on request
    In the afternoon, board the Pride of Africa train from the private Rovos Rail station in Pretoria. Begin the journey north, passing through Warmbaths and Nylstroom. Overnight on board, full board.

  2. Day 2 Pride of Africa

    Free day on board, as the itinerary takes you past the Tropic of Capricorn / Afternoon tea served in the observatory carriage / After crossing the Limpopo River, described by Kipling in ”Just So Stories”, the train arrives at Beitbridge where border formalities with Zimbabwe will be completed / Overnight on board on a full-board basis, travelling towards Gwanda

  3. Day 3 Pride of Africa: Matobo National Park (Zimbabwe)

    The train crosses a territory rich in baobabs, climbing up to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second city. In the afternoon, you reach Matobo National Park with its caves and Bushman rock art. You continue your journey towards Sawmills. Overnight stay on board with full board.

  4. Day 4 Pride of Africa: Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe)

    Today Pride of Africa travels between Gwaai and Dete, tackling one of the longest straight railway stretches in the world (114 kilometres), along the eastern edge of Hwange National Park / in the afternoon excursion to discover the spectacular African nature among elephants, lions and immense green expanses / return on board the train and departure for Thompsons Junction / overnight on board with full board

  5. Giorno 5 Pride of Africa - Cascate Vittoria (Zimbabwe) -

    durante la colazione sarà la carrozza d’osservazione a guidare il treno, un punto di vista molto singolare / arriverete a Victoria Falls, cittadina adiacente alle imponenti Cascate Vittoria!

Le cabine

Le sofisticate cabine, in stile edoardiano con pregiati pannelli in legno e decori che ne richiamano l’epoca, si suddividono in Pullman suites (circa 7 mq), Deluxe suites (circa 10 mq) e Royal suites (circa 16 mq).

Tutte dotate di bagno privato, minibar e aria condizionata, consentono di beneficiare del massimo comfort anche restando nel proprio spazio privato, in silenziosa contemplazione dell’affascinante panorama all’esterno. Il “room service” è inoltre disponibile 24/24h.

Le Pullman suites si presentano di giorno con tavolino e comodo sofà che, per la notte, si converte in letto matrimoniale o in letti a due piani.

Le Deluxe suites dispongono di una zona giorno più ampia con tavolo, eleganti sedie e letto già configurato o in versione matrimoniale o con 2 letti singoli.

Le Royal suites sono dotate di una spaziosa lounge e di bagno con vasca vittoriana e doccia separata. La configurazione può essere con letto matrimoniale o 2 letti singoli.
