Pride of Africa by Rovos Rail can accommodate up to 72 passengers in spacious surroundings that evoke Victorian style and enhance it with all modern comforts.

Life on board is divided between the Observation Car, with large panoramic windows and an open-air balcony to keep you in constant contact with the surrounding scenery; the Lounge Car, where you can sip a cool drink or immerse yourself in reading about the areas visited; the Club Car, the only smoking area on board with large windows from which to comfortably observe the exuberant nature all around; the Dining Car, where you can taste refined creations paired with fine selected wines, surrounded by lights, decorations and details that create an atmosphere suspended in time.

Exclusively for Rovos passengers, the historic Capital Park station in Pretoria is the starting or finishing point for all itineraries. A busy crossroads for steam locomotives during the 20th century, today it has been transformed into the company’s private headquarters. The property also has a small and interesting railway museum that will satisfy all the curiosity of enthusiasts.

The dress code is smart casual during the day, comfortable clothing is recommended for excursion days (especially if safaris are planned), while in the evening formal attire is required, with jackets and ties for gentlemen and evening/cocktail dresses for ladies.
